The function of the Scientific Instrument Center is to provide services both in teaching and research.

This center consists of a machine shop and glass manufacture shop.

They are equipped with various traditional and advanced CNC machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.

In the aspect of teaching service, the center provides a sound environment for machine design and implementation, and the skillful technicians tutor the undergraduate students of the College of Engineering the course of “Machine Shop Practice.”

Besides, engineers are also responsible for resolving the mechanical design and manufacture problems encountered by the students.

In the aspect of research service, this center takes orders and provides technical consultation to researchers on the design and manufacture of mechanical apparatus and glass-made instruments.
